Cejka Search has been retained by West Michigan Cancer Center
to assist in the recruitment of a Chief Medical Officer.
West Michigan Cancer Center is a cooperative program for cancer
treatment of the two major healthcare facilities in the Kalamazoo
area, Bronson Methodist Hospital and Borgess Medical Center. For
more than a decade, the West Michigan Cancer Center has offered
innovative cancer treatment, therapies and contemporary clinical
procedures that are among the most advanced in West Michigan. The Chief Medical Officer (CMO) is accountable for medical administrative
affairs and working with the WMCC Medical Staff for ensuring that
the highest quality of medical care is provided and the highest
standards of medical education and research be maintained in the
institution. As a member of the WMCC leadership team, the CMO
will help provide leadership in planning and executing the center's
strategic plan, assuring financial success, assuring clinical
quality, maintaining accreditation/regulatory compliance and promoting
a positive organizational work environment. Requirements include an M.D. from an accredited medical school
and board certification in oncology with ten years of clinical
experience as well as experience in a physician leadership role
within a community hospital or an oncology practice.
